Popups cause IE6 to close

I posted this in the WinXP forum, but then found this forum so I guess its a bit more relevant.

A friend of mine got a PC with Windows XP Home edition. Something weird is going on when she opens a page that tries to open a popup window (javascript openwindow() type thing). Whenever she goes to a page with one IE closes instantly. I've fooled around with the security settings, etc, but nothing of use is in there. I never had these problems with my old copy of XP RC2 so I'm kinda baffled.

Any ideas?
