I have an Approach database to which I import from an external table. The import is getting so big that I need to be incremental in the import; ie I want to find the last record in the database, then run the import from the table commencing with the record following the last record.
Thus record number is the last record 12345 in Approach; I want an unbound field on a form that finds and reads this record so my import can be commanded to start from record 12346. The import need not automatically pick up the number; just reading the field will suffice!
I suppose it is Lotuscript; about which i am largely ignorant. can anybody suggest a manual for Lotuscript - I do not use Lotus Notes?

Thanks
