Is there a way to write a script that will populate the swdis.var file with the gateway a certain endpoint is associated with? In other words, pull the gateway address from the webpage ex. All enpoints are running on windows xp/2000.
Thanks for any help.

Why not just look at the endpoints lcfd.log and grep for

'Login to gateway X.X.X.X+9494 complete'

That's a very good idea. I need to write a script to get the text from the lcfd and populate the swdis file. Has anyone done anything like this with good results?

Getting the test fro the lcfd is easy, populating the swdis file may be a challenge. Although, I cant seem to find the file you are talking about in my TMR. Obviously swdis is some reference to software distribution. What version are you running?

The version we are using is 4.2.1 The basic problem is getting the software distribution to know what gateway a certain endpoint is on. I want to be able to build a package and have a script in it that dictates what gateway the package is sent to. I figured the lcfd.log was a good place to get the gateway, but I need only that line and some of the endpoints that are old have migrated several times so I need the last entry for the gateway so it will have the correct one. Thanks for the help!
