Populating a date field with changing dates

I have fours dates captured in a field named "AS OF DATE". These will always change based on the new quarter. I need a way to populate a new field with a Date 1, Date 2, Date 3, and Date 4. The table is named ass_qtr2.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pehaps you should just store the dates and manipulate them using the datepart function. It has a quarter argument. As your DB is currently designed, it is not properly normalized. (I.E., Date1,Date2,Date3,Date4).

Perhaps some work now, but it will save headaches in the long run.... Tyrone Lumley

I am not really sure what you mean here. If you could possibly give me a small example I might be able to understand a little better.

Instead of storing date1, date2, date3, and date4, just store date1 and then use the DateAdd function to get your next quarter date, etc...

if Date1 = 01/01/2001

Date2 = DateAdd("q", 1, [Date1])
Date3 = DateAdd("q", 2, [Date1])
