My customer is a law firm with several attorneys carrying Treo 650s. They use Versamail to get email from the Exchange server via POP3. Their desktop PCs use Outlook as an Exchange client. Their server is running Exchange 2003. Mail that has been retrieved by the handheld shows as old mail in Outlook at their PC, whether Outlook opened it or not.
As an experiment, I set up an Outlook Express POP3 client for one of the accounts offsite, and retrieved mail. Behavior was the same, mail retrieved by the POP3 client shows as old mail in Outlook at the PC.
Can this be corrected so that Outlook (Exchange client) on the PC retains its own settings for which mail has been viewed? If the mail hasn't been read in Outlook, we want it to stay bold as new mail.
