Hi,

I would like to know if it's possible to use domino as a pop3 relay.

In fact, i would like to install onto my DMZ a pop3 and smtp relay in ordre to allow my users to reach thei mailbox with smtp and pop through internet.

Many thanks for your help

You must start the pop3 task on the domino server. Then your user can access the domino server with a pop3-client (outlook, notes, netscape, etc.). Please be aware that the mails no longer will be saved in the maildatabase unless the user set up there clients accordingly. Another solution would be to use the webinterface of Notes. Then Notes works like any Webmail-host, but the mails remain in the notes maildatabase. For this to work you must start the http task of domino. It works fine as long as not to many user access the server at the same time.
