POP3 mailserver 1

I get this on several workstations what is a solution?
I looked on the internet and do not have Norton running on these computers.


Task pop3mailserver - Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x80042108) : 'Outlook is unable to connect to your incoming (POP3) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

Do you have PC-Cillin running? This will do the same thing.

Pl. check with the ISP, there can be a change in the IP address of the pop3 mailserver.

Can you ping the pop3 server? That would be a great place to start.

I cannot ping the POP3 server.

Okay then, we need more info about the pop3 server. Is it your ISP's server handling e-mail for you? Is it one that you run yourself? What type is it? Can you ping other sites on the internet? Details...
