I have the POP3 conector configured for the Internet Mail Service. I have individual POP3 email boxes configured that are housed on another server. Everything works fine but I have to click on Deliver Now to make it retrieve the messages from the server. What am I missing to make it check for new email automatically. We have a dedicated internet connection (cable modem). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Are you using Microsoft Small Business Server 4.0 or 4.5? The pop3 connector for Exchange 5.5 will only work with SBS 4.0 or 4.5, if you are trying to use it on any other version of SBS or stand alone exchange, it will not work.

I'm not sure what version it is but I will check tomorrow and get back to you. The connector works fine if I hit "Deliver Now" but it won't check automatically. Is this the problem that version 4.0 has with the POP3 connector. Thank you very much for you input.

If you are using SBS 4/4.5 the connector for POP3 mailboxes should check automatically, assuming it is configured properly. The first thing you need to determine, is whehter or not you are using Exchange that came bundled with Microsoft Small Business Server 4/4.5 or if it is a standalone Exchange install on NT4 Server. If you are not using SBS 4/4.5 then I am affraid you are out of luck and really do not have an alternative, that I know of anyway.
