Here's my issue. I am currently trying to access my e-mail remotely using a POP3 server. POP3 is enabled and allowed through the firewall (to my knowledge, others have had no issues). I have tried to connect using Outlook as well as an internet client called "mail2web" both unsucessfully. I am able to send messages without issues, but I am not able to receive them. However, when using Outlook, I am able able to successfully test the connection settings in the account setup dialog. The symptoms are as follows:

After sending messages, the client hangs when trying to receive the messages, eventually timing out.

I have done the following steps to troubleshoot this issue:

I have turned logging on in Outlook 2003 and examined the log file and found the following:

2005.02.15 15:02:59 POP3 (mail.ebward.com): Begin execution
2005.02.15 15:02:59 POP3 (mail.ebward.com): ========= Initial blob =========

2005.02.15 15:03:02 POP3 (mail.ebward.com): [tx] STAT

It never gets beyond this command. I had originally thouught it might be that my mailbox was too full and it had to do with the "Maximum messages allowed" for one connection setting on the server, so I moved all the messages in my inbox to a folder in my Cabinet so there were no messages in my inbox. I still had the same problem. I thought there might be a lot to download somehow so I changed the server timeout to 30 minutes and let it Send/Receive. At 29 minutes the status bar was still at "50%" (Where it started after sending). I also had a co-worker who is able to access his mail through Outlook and the POP3 server to go ahead and set up my account on his PC to test and he had the same problem but his account still was functional.

Does anybody have any idea what's going on here?

One othet thing to note, our server is running Groupwise 6.5.
