i am trying to make a pop-up menu (which is easy), but that at first has simply and image then changes into the pop-up. for example, it has just a gif that has products on it in light blue, then when moused over, it changes to dark blue and the pop-up menu appears. Any hints? PS-the sad thing is i have done this many times before and yet cannot for the life of repeat this process at the moment. Thanks a lot.

Create your initial button with Up and Over states, depepnding on what you want it to look like and place it on your canvas.
Then, with the button highlighted, select Modify > Pop-up Menu > Add Pop-up Menu and create your menu as normal.
This means that, when the user places the cursor over your original button, it will change to it's Over state and your pop-up menu will also appear.
