Pop ups not working

I have a couple of chat programs that I use msn 7 and Vypress chat. Both of these should popup when a new message is sent.

However the messgae are being sent to me but are not shown on them taskbar as a new window - until I click on the person name to send them a messgae and then I see that they have written a message to me.

Any help with this would be grateful!!!

Do your messenger programs have preferences that you may set to display this type of alert, Windows XP Messenger has this setting available under Preferences/ Options?


Pop-up Blocker in Internet Explorer is turned on by default. This will prevent most browser pop-up windows from being displayed while you are online.

Have you tried it with the Pop-up blocker turned off?
