Hi, Hopefully this is an easy one...

I´ve setup Shared IP printers on our NT 4 Server. these work perfectly except that when anyone prints a message pops up on the server screen (telling you that the printer has printed!) Is there a way to turn these messages off? I could just stop the messenger service but this seems a little drastic...

Any thoughts?

That is exactly what you have to do. The Messenger service should be disabled.

You can go into the printer folder and go into the server properties and shut them off in there rather than turning off your entire messenger service.

Hi , thanks for this, worked a treat...took a while because I´m working on a spanish language server and don´t speak spanish

Cheers
