also can the submenus be made to be semi transparent?

thats because you centered your page it does that...you need to make 2 versions then for the different resolutions or just keep your page aligned left
as for semi tranparent i dont think you can do that unless you make the part the sumbenues popup under a part of the image that you export from fireworks but then youll have a large file
sorry i couldnt be of more help

I don't understand what you mean by making 2 versions

you make a page designed for a resolution of 800x600 and one for 1024x768 then have you default.htm page direct your viewer to the page that matches their screen resolution

How do the pages know the resolution that the person is looking at?? I think this is a little too difficult for me

or try this code in the head of your default.htm page

<script>var width = screen.width;var res =(((!(640-width))*1)+((!(800-width))*2)+((!(1024-width))*3)+((!(1152-width))*4)+((!(1280-width))*5)+((!(1600-width))*6)); if(!(res)) res = 1;if (res=='1') {window.location=' (res=='2') {window.location=' (res=='3') {window.location=' (res!='1' && res!='2' && res!='3') {window.location='
just change the urls to match
