POP Service Stopping

Guys,

I have a SBS 2000 server running Microsoft Exchange, and the Microsoft Connector for POP3 Mailboxes keeps stopping, and I cannot receive external e-mails. I also get the following as an error in the App log:

A recipient has been processed. Recipient information:
NDR Status Code: 404
Error Code: 00000000
SMTP Reply:
SMTP Name: user@xyz.com
SMTP Host: server.xyz.local

When I run the Internet connection Wizard, it crashes and cant finish the creation fully.

I can send mail and the SMTP link seems fine.

It is baffling me.

Any help appreciated!!
