POP 3 server cannot be found 1

Hy, before all sorry for my english.
I have a windows nt 4 server with exchange and more that 10 mailboxes. Only one mailbox does not work, the message is The POP3 server you specified cannot be found.
If I'm going to other computer, login with other name and check the email with problem, the email addres work.

Are you using a WINS or DNS server? If you can ping the IP address of the POP3 server but not the name you are probably having NAME resolution problems.

If you're using WINS or DNS make sure the TCP/IP configuration on the problematic pc is "pointing" to those servers.

If you're not using WINS OR DNS update the LMHOSTS and HOSTS files on the problematic pc.

After updating those files go to the command prompt and type nbtstat -R this will clear and reload the host file information. You should then be able to ping your POP3 server and the email should work.
