Hello all,

Hoping there's some kind of simple Polycom config-file setting to fix this;

Recently adopted a site from a hosted phone solution. Brought a bunch of Polcyom VVX 400 and one Soundpoint 550 desk sets onto the UCx. All working fine.

Today, I tried to log into the web GUI of one of the Polycoms (a VVX 400) via the UCx's OpenVPN connection (Remote Access -> Remote Hosts), as I do all the time for Yealink Phones. I can reach the Polycom phone's login page, select "Admin", and enter the passcode, but I end up at a "401 Unauthorized" page.

I'm using the correct passcode.

Using the exact same passcode, I was able to log into that same Polycom's web GUI while remote-controlling a terminal on-site in the same subnet as the Polycom.

When I try the Soundpoint 550, it takes me to a blank page.

I logged into a completely different UCx at a completely different site that I know recently bought a Polycom Soundpoint 5000. Same thing. By contrast, I can get into the Yealink web GUIs out there just fine.

Any insight is appreciated.

No problem logging in on my soundpoint 321 remotely with openvpn running on my router

Just to be sure I understand you: You're saying that you're using the OpenVPN running on your router/firewall, and not the OpenVPN of the UCx?

I have issues using both Chrome and IE on some 3rd party devices. Sometimes I can get logged in and browse the GUI and sometimes I can't. Sometimes I cn only see part of the GUI.

I wound up having to use Safari for the times I need to access those devices *through the vpn connection). That browser seems to work well.

Yes that is correct.
My router of choice is Ubiquiti EdgeMax series: EdgeRouter Lite, EdgeRouter-5 POE, and the EdgeRouter X-5 port.
Next choice is Sophos UTM 9.
With this setup I can access the UCX system, Digital gateway, phones, managed switches, printers, wireless access points.

Hey, look at that...I found a use for the Microsoft Edge browser.

Thanks for the info, all. Using a different browser worked.
