Can I add a polycom soundstation2 direct connect (nortel) to my bcm400? I can't seem to get it to register the DN that was on the old T7316e console.

Are u trying to connect it to a digital port? Is it an analog or IP polycom?

Sorry, not compatible with te BCM. This one is for Meridian only. Right from the Polycom Knowledge Base page.

Description

BCM is a Small-Medium-Business market switch that has Periphonics integrated in the 3.x and higher OS, built to sustain existing Norstar phone lines.

Because this is a Norstar system it is not compatible with the SoundStation 2 Direct Connect for Nortel

Forgot to mention, you have to get the one from Nortel to be able to connect it to a digital port. Otherwise, if you want to stick with Polycon, you have to get either the IP or Analog versions.

do you know what the model is from Nortel? Or if I get an analog polycom how do I integrate that into the BCM. All our consoles have an assigned DID #.

If you get the analog one, you can set it up just like any other analog device on an analog port. Or if you don't have analog, you can connect it to an ATA2 bu beware of the DTMF limitations on them.

As far as I know, it's referred to as the Nortel Audio Conferencing Unit. I don't know what te part number is but you can search for it on Nortels website.
