SoundStation unit connected to analog line seems to be functioning but when we press the on/off the volume (regardless of how high you change the volume control) is faint and has hiss/noise. If we move the unit (by the way - this is not cable related...check cable and connection by moving it while connected without change) sometimes the volume pops up to clear and normal levels.

Yes, I know the unit has some internal problem - does anyone have any advice on what this could be? How to fix? or good source for repair/replacement?

Many Thanks.

Was it dropped? I had one that was pushed off the table. I
had about the same symptoms. Found a cracked run on pcb.
Repaired it with solder.

I have a couple that after being pluged in awhile do that. I unplug count to 10 and replug, everything works fine after that. Polycom says it is power related.

Good Luck!!
