I have a Polycom Soundstation 2 connected to BCM 450. I have basically 2 questions. Question 1 - I make a call, then press the conference key on the Polycom, and try to make a second call, but it's not working. The person on the original call can hear me dialing. What am I missing? I have it programmed the way the manual tells me to program it, but it's not working correctly. Question 2 - Can I have more than a 3 party conference call on this thing? Is it a matter of adding intercom lines to it? Thank you in advance.

The Conference button is actually a flash key. To create a conference on a Soundstation you need to do the following.

1) Make 1st call.
2) Press flash 2.
3) Make 2nd call.
4) Press flash *3.

This will create a 3 party conference. To add more parties do the following.

5) Press flash *807
6) Make 4th call.
7) Press flash *3.

You can repeat these steps to add additional parties.

I tried that, but when I press the flash 3 to connect the calls, they do not connect. Does it have something to do with the fact that this is an analog conference phone and not a digital?

What dwpoole told you are the features for analog devices connected to the BCM using either an ATA or an analog station module.
