Polycom IP 7000 on SIP mode NBX3000

Ok,

I have been banging my head against the wall for days now trying to set this phone up to no avail.

System is an NBX3000 running 6.5.22 in SIP mode.

I created an extension 310 on the system with no phone associated to it.

The IP7000 has the following sip settings (from the Polycom web interface):

SIP:
Servers:
Outbound Proxy:
Address: 10.1.10.8 (which is the NBX's address)
Port: 5060
Transport: UDPonly

Server1:
Address: 10.1.10.8
Port: 5060
Transport: UDPonly

Line:
Address: Have tried 310, 10.1.10.8
Auth User ID: Have tried 310, sip:310, sip:310@10.1.10.8
Password: 1234

I swear I got it to show on the phone display that it was registered with one of the combinations above, but still could not make calls (got dial tone but would get busy whenever I tried a call)

I am systematically going through combinations now, any help would be much appreciated...

These are the contents of the tftproot of the TFTP server to provision the polycom phones on my network.
There are 2 phones, but phone1046.cfg and 0004f2e41dce.cfg are the files for my Polycom Conf Phone.
Use these as a baseline to configure your phones. You will have to change the config file named 0004f2e41dce to the mac address of your phone...

Ok, I set up a tftp server with all the files provided and can see the phone connecting and downloading the configuration, but the phone still does not register. An added piece of information is that I seem to no longer be able to connect to the NetSet website as an end user as I used to be able to before I turned SIP on. I can only log in as administrator. If I click on the User button I can't connect using any extension, including my own. I can still log in through the phone to v-mail though.

The admin guide states that you have to use a rather complex authID sip:ext@NBX IP address and that the default password will be set to '1234' when you add a user. I have tried every combination possible but still can't get it to register. Any ideas at this point are welcome, or if any of you could point me to a resource that knows how to do this I would be much obliged.

To add a generic SIP telephone:
1 Log in to the NBX NetSet utility using the administrator login ID and
password.
2 Click User Configuration > Users > Add.
3 Specify telephone user information and an unused extension.
When you click OK or Apply, the system creates the telephone user with a
default password of 1234.
4 Connect the telephone to power and the network. Use the telephone
documentation to configure basic network connectivity.
Typically, your phone gets its address from a DHCP server. You can use the
telephone controls to view the phone’s IP address. Scroll through the
phone’s menus until you find a display such as preferences or Network
Info.
5 After you find the telephone’s IP address, open a browser and type it into
the address line.
Most, but not all telephones, include an embedded web server for local
configuration. Be sure to consult the telephone’s documentation if you
cannot access the its configuration interface.
6 After you connect to the telephone’s configuration interface, find and
configure connections settings. For example, on a Sipura telephone, you
click the Admin Login link, and then click the Ext.1 tab to access these
settings:
Proxy Specify the IP address of the NBX server.
This field may also be known as SIP Proxy.
Display Name Typically, you specify the extension, although this is not
required.
Password Specify the default password, 1234. The telephone user
can log in to the NBX NetSet utility and use the extension
as the username and this password, and then change the
password. Do not use the telephone user interface to
change the password because that password change is not
passed to the database.
User ID Specify the telephone extension.
Use Auth ID This field must be set to Yes.

7 When you apply these settings, the telephone typically reboots. It then
registers itself with the system and is a member of the Telephones list
(click Telephone Configuration > Telephones). You will have a dialtone
and be ready to make and receive calls.
 
Just a quick update. The issue with login in as a user to NetSet seems to be a Windows 7 problem with at least IE8 and Google Chrome (have not tried with Firefox).

I have also tried several SIP softphones and can't register either, so far: WeePhone (an iPhone client) and 3CX phone.
 
Ok, an additional piece of information, it seems that the Ip 7000 ids looking for a couple of files from the TFTP server that are not in the files that engjohn so kindly provided.

bootrom.ld - I assume this is a boot image so it should not matter as the phone has one.
3111-40000-001.sip.ld - no idea what this is
(phone MAC address)-directory.xml - which I assume is a speed dial list.

Still can't get ANY SIP phone other than the 3102's that I had to register - any help or direction to a resource that could help would be appreciated.

 
Ok, I feel like a total idiot.

It turns out the reason I could get no SIP phones to register was that I was OUT OF LICENSES. I deleted and disconnected a phone and I was able to register a SIP device.
