I've setup the polycom as far as I can take it.

It is getting DHCP from the 3300

It gets its bootfiles and SIP profile

I does not register with the 3300

The username and password are confirmed as being in the set.

Viwing the setup in the Polycom, all is as it should be but no Joy.

What am I missing?

Occam's Razor - All things being equal, the simplest solution is the right one.

Try to set IP address of 3300 as registration domain.
Try to use empty SIP password configured in 3300. This way you can make sute that it's not authentication issue and everything else is working.

Blank password did the trick.

Everything else remains the same.

If I could give you 2 stars I would.

This is the first instance where someone was able to help me for a change.

I'm observing comatibility issues on G.729 codec between Polycom and some 52xx phones. If I make a call to the phone at another location over IP trunk with compression option turned on there is noticable distorsions of the voice. Disabling G.729 on Polycom and using G.711 only works just fine.
I've tried ClearOne IP conference phone. Overal ot's OK. Sound is good. Other party can hear me even in noisy environment but... It doesn't support SIP transfer. Using MITEL conference feature is not possible since it's supporting internal 3-way calling only.
