I have a customer who has a polycom connected to an etr port. Question is do they make a digital polycom for the Magix system? Also can you programm the existing polycom to grab intercom when they go off hook? As of now the polycom picks up an outside line. thanks

Sincerely, thephoneboy

ETR is a Port Configuration to allow Partner type phones to connect to a Legend/Magix.

This was done so people could "UPGRADE" from a Partner to a LEGEND without having to buy all new phones.

That being said, the AUTO LINE SELECT on Partner Type Phones can be Programmed to choose the INTERCOM first.

In CENTRAL PROGRAMMING, (Menu > Sys Prog > Exit/Start > More > Cntrl Prog >) select the extension to program, then press ANY BUTTON, Dial *14, Press an intercom button, and then another intercom button and then press ENTER.

I hope this helps.

O.K. That is helpful. But I guess I cannot remmeber but, the first 4 or the last 4 ports on a 16 port etr card are also used for single line connection? I will check my manual but I seem to remmeber something like that. Thanks for your help.

Sincerely, thephoneboy

It is, in fact, the last 6, the top ones.

You have to tell the system they are T&R, under exension programming.
