Polycom Avaya 2490 Sound station 2

Hello,

Sorry if there is already a thread about this, i have a polycom avaya 2490 sound station 2, it is plugged into the PBX and can received internal and external calls but cannot make internal or external calls

any one have any ideas what i have done wrong, i have tested with a normal digital phone and works fine can only think i have done a configuration wrong

class of restriction, disp station xxxx then disp cor x and see if it is restricted outbound

I have given the phone a number by following the admin section in the guide you linked me to

Can call the phone from another phone but still cannot make any calls

The phone picks up a dial tone but when you dial a number you just hear the dial tone noise

Would i find this cor in the phone settings or using the software?

I can make a call from the port on the pbx using an avaya 1408 handset so i must not have something set up on the conference phone

i think i have found the problem looks like the system is not finding the phone problem maybe i have not got the firmware for the phone installed any ideas where i can get this from?

do a list trace station and try to make call and post results here

What Smokinjoe is trying to tell you, display the station number and look at the field "COR" which is Class of Restriction. This is what restricts phones from dialing out of your office. Display a station that has access out of your office and change the COR on the Polycom extension to that COR. You can also list your COR by typing List cor, and then you should see a description of what each COR does. Below is where the COR is configured on each station.
