Has anyone ever connected a Polycom 5000 or 7000 or any IP based Polycom on a CS1000 switch? If so, what licence does it need: Third Party SIP? Any issues with the installation?

Thanks,

Mark Monfette

Third party sip license and sip line deployed on a sig server is what you'll need.

I just got a request from a customer asking us to do the same thing for them (Polycom SoundStation IP 5000).

They're running a CS1000e at 7.5 and Avaya Aura System Manager 6.2 - first time I got a request for this, need to know where to start.

Is there an "Idiot's Guide to Installing 3rd Party SIP Phones on Nortel Gear" out there? Where in Session Manager would I do this, and how would I program the phone on the CS1000?

Thanks.
