Is there any reason that I should configure the Policy Enforcement Interval for a period shorter than once per day? What about the Agent to server connection timeframe? Again, should this be any shorter than once per day? Any help will be gratefully received.

The Policy Enforcement Interval (PEI) is a local event. It does not create network traffic and usually lasts no more than 5 seconds so having this every 5 minutes (default) ensures that the policy set in ePO gets enforced.

The Agent-to-Server Communication Interval (ASCI) bu default is set to 60 minutes. This makes sure that the agents have the latest copy of the policies every hour. Changing this will depend on how much "trust" you have on your end-users and how much network traffic you see on a typical day.

My advice is leave PEI as is, and probably change ASCI to 360 minutes (6 hours) so as to ensure that the agent gets the policy when starting up, and just before the end of office hours.
