Hello I work at a small school and I want to give the teachers more access.
Am I correct in saying that you can have more than one type of policy in use on a network. If that is correct how do I go about constructing and allocating a new policy for a domain user to give them more access.
Any advice is very much appreciated

Policies can be set up for users, groups or machines. For NT/2K/XP workstations these are held in ntconfig.pol in netlogon share on server. For 95/98/ME workstations they are held in config.pol in same location (which is \WINNT\system32\Repl\Import\Scripts). You need to edit relevant version using appropriate policy editor (NT server version for ntconfig.pol, 9x/Me version for config.pol). You can set up entry for user concerned - this will override 'defaults' affecting all domain users.
