I have a small VB5 App that checks the user's app against a copy stored on the server. If the server App is different, the file is copied to the user's PC. If not- it just runs the app on the user's hard drive. In either case, the 2nd VB App is then launched from the original VB App using a Shell Command.
We are running both Win 95 and Win 98 on the PC's in question here. Our machines have their desktops locked down by Admin. On three of the machines, the 2nd application launches but appears on the task bar as if it were minimized already. The other 30 or so display the 2nd application on the user's screen as the active applcation. It occurs on both a Win 95 and 2 Win 98 machines.
Is there a setting in Pol Edit which causes this behavior? (run minimized) The early bird may get the occasional worm...
but the 2nd mouse always gets the cheese.
