Pointing 2003 to the WSUS server?

This must be a stupid question because I can't find the answer to it anywhere.

We aren't using active directory by the way.

I can't get the 2003 machines to point to the WSUS server.

I've got a script that works great with 2000.

Any suggestions? It's actually kind of frustrating.
