Point to Point PRI voice networking 4

Here is my situation. I have two Magix switches. Both switches have 100dcd cards in them. I have set both cards as PRI and done what I believe to be all of the required programming. Both switches are pri-esf-b8zs. PRI switch types are Legend PBX for main site and Legend NTW for remote. Under lines/trunks/udp I set channels 1-23 as 21 and as 22 on the remote switch. I have assignes the lines to the b channel group on both switches. I have also done some udp programming not listed. My problem is that I cannot get my pri's to sync up. I have both switches setting side by side and plugged in to each other with a T-1 cross-over cable. Do I need to assign channel 24 as a D channel somewhere? I am plugging in to the network jack on each card. There is also a 25 pair amphenol jack on the card. Do I need to use this? I would really appreciate any help!

What are you using for a clock source and what are your switch parameters for the clocks?

My clock source on the main switch is set to slot 13 (100dcd card) internal, and my clock source on the remote switch is set to slot 4 (100dcd card) loop. There on no other T-1's or PRI's on either switch other than the point to point.

When you configure the DS1 as a PRI, channel 24, the D CHANNEL is automatically assigned in the system as the D CHANNEL. DO NOT assign anything to it or put it in any pool! All PRI info and call setup/teardown take place on the D CHANNEL.

You mention the DS1 won't sync up. What alarms or errors are you getting? Also post a print of the config and/or error log.

Make sure your TIE and Non-TIE configs are set to Unrestricted. Non-TIE relates specifically to Legend networked PRI's.
Also make sure you set your "b" channels on the "master" side to xx01,xx02, etc. and your slave side to xx23, xx22, etc. so that you ascend on one switch and descend on the other to reduce "glare" issues.
Remember that the switch settings always refer to the switch on the other end of the pipe.

To answer your question about the 100DCD module, the Amphenol connector is used for a data interface cable that provides two data ports and can be configured for V.35 and other types of data or video connecting arrangements.

For more info on this and some descriptions see the Avaya document: Merlin Magix Integrated System Installation Rls 3.0 starting on page 212 (6-16). The DSU/CSU and data functions are only available when running Magix software. On the Legend the 100DCD only runs as a 100DS1 module. Since both of your switches are the Magix ones you can take advantage of this if the need is there.

Here is the latest. I went through programming over and over and could not find a problem. I changed my T-1 cross-over and it still did not work. I completely re-programmed everything, and it worked perfectly. Thanks to everbody who took the time to give input. I appreciate it.
