Hello All,

I have two Legend systems connected as T1 point to point E&M. I can call the extensions on the opposite sites which works well, however, when I tried to dial 9 to make an outside call using the remote systems pri lines I get a reorder tone after the 2nd or 3rd digit. Can someone please help me out and tell me what I am missing?

Thanks in advanced

correction- the previous post heading should read: Point to Point setup accessing outgoing lines remotely

The most likely setting that is incorrect is Lines & Trunks > Remote Access > Tie Lines (& Non-Tie Lines) are set to OUTWARD RESTRICTED.

Change that and see what happens.

Thanks for the quick reply MerlinMan, actually I seen that. I forgot to mention that I changed that to no restriction. In the same section there is an FRL setting, I wasn't sure what to set it at, but I tried changing it to 2 and to 4 without success. Any more ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

How are your ARS tables set up...Can you dial out using *03CRAFTR4 Code??? Did you cange the Remote Access settings on both Sides??

Jinx,
I set ars tables 17 & 18 on the remote system to use pool 899 because that's where I have my private lines assigned, the FRL is 3 & 2 for the tables.
The ars table on the main system is the same except using pool 70 where outside lines are assigned.
No digits being added or removed on either systems.
I even tried the setting barrier code not required on both systems. Should I still have to dial the code you mentioned to get through?

Thanks again

You might want to get the Network Reference document from the Avaya website: support.avaya.com

It covers all the stuff on networking Legend/Magix switches for the most part.

Hope this helps!

Tekguy125....Couple of things on the ARS Tables....
1. Is the LEC the same Dialing plans..10 digit vs 7 digit.
2. Since you need to be in hybrid/pbx mode, add a 9 to tables 17 and 18 to pool route 899. Do Not add the 9 to pool 70.

If there is a conflict in the Dialing Plans between the LEC, then you need to accomidate your digits accordingly.
