Point of sales with e-commerce integration

I would like a recommendation fo a point of sales solution that integrates seemlessly with our existing e-commerce web site. Merchant Technologies sells a solution like this but it may be out of our budget.

I am looking for a solution that wil work for a store that has a store front and web site. The software package should work with any popular shopping cart software (Merchant Technologies by PRISM polls the shopping cart), and shoulf have centralized data that can be delivered to both the pos terminals and the website without need for duplication. I do not want to have to redesign the look and feel of the website, or need to go with a hosted solution.

Any cheaper alternatives to PRISM's Merchant Technologies?
