I have been trying to get a pocket pc to run terminal emulation software and connect to a pbx and make changes.
has anyone made this work or is there a device that anyone can sugest?
I just hate having to boot up my old piece of crap laptop "company provided" just to make simple changes to mermail or option switches! any info is greatly apreciated...

I have the xv6800 from verizon, it's not the best but it does what I need. I have remote desktop on my cell, I remote into my server which has Procomm and all my customers listed, then I just dial up and I'm in. I think some of the newer pc phones might run a little smoother, my keys act up sometimes.

I used Zterm on an old Imate Jam and you could call from it straight to a modem and login to switches. Was a bit impractical (wasn't to bad with a seperate bluetooth keyboard) but if you got caught out in the car on the way home it was good for a quick admin change.
