I am very curious to know if anyone else has seen something similar.
Our Environment: Macola ES 372 (4.0.0.324) Multi Binned, Serial Lots, Distribution.
Issue arises following PO receiving. The following is all visible on the IM Transaction History Report, but I had to dig into the iminvtrx_sql table to confirm what the report was showing me. There are no 'mystery' transactions that show up in the tables.
In both of my two examples, the old_quantity is incorrect. It does not match the previous transaction result. I don't know if it is coincidence, but the Old_Quantity is stated as what would be expected as the result of the transaction. Therefore when the actual receipt quantity is added, the resulting Qty_on_hand reflects the receiving as if it was doubled up.
I now have two documented cases of an incorrect inventory quantity. So out of 2500 items in five locations, this is a small scope of an issue. However I am concerned if there is a user or software issue, there may be more problems that just are not as visible.
I am in the process of building a Stored Procedure to scan each item in each of my five operating locations in order to determine if there are more of these. This does have the potential of being a significant business issue as both Inventory Value and reorder quantities will reflect the erroneous quantities.
Any comments, thoughts or opinions? Does anyone else have a little SQL script to 'Audit' the iminvtrx_sql table quantities?
