Pngs -- Behaving Badly.

Whenever I am sent a link via e-mail or instant messenger to an image that is in .png format, my computer tries to save it to my desktop rather than viewing it in my web browser.

I had fixed it before after quicktime hijacked it but it seems to have deteriorated again.

What are the default settings for png file associations when completely uncorrupted by image viewers?

Youlanda , the easiest way to do a file association is to right right click it and select open with and check the box, Always use the selected....... and click OK.
