I exported to EPS, which looks OK in PhotoShop, but when I view with PostScript viewer it has rough edges. I need it for reprographics to print an A2 poster Regards

Why convert a PNG to an EPS? Why not print from the original PNG? What does EPS have to do with this?

To convert between PNG and EPS, is quite difficult. Best to work with Illustrator or Freehand to convert correctly. Since eps is vector based, it messes up everything that is bit mapped based (gif, jpg, png). You will have to correct your file in a vector based program and saving it that way.

But why EPS? Printers can accept all kinds of formats. There's something missing to the story here.

If you are switching from raster PNG to vector EPS then you may want to recreate the graphic entirely. You cannot simply press a button and get a raster image to flawlessly turn into a vector image.

Was this created in Fireworks or something? Sometimes the orignial program (like Fireworks) hangs on to vector data that was used to create the raster image. Going back to that program may provide options.
