Hi,

When using PNG images with a pure white background they are appearing with a light blue background, which looks crap.

You can see this on (10Mb) under the title "Introduction // Basics".

I was playing around with the graphic image color settings without any luck. Any ideas?

Cheers.

What PDF profile are you using to export the PDF file?

Are your placed images PNG8 or PNG24?

Which transparency blending space are you using (RGB/CMYK)?

Experiment.

Thanks for the response.

I've uploaded one of the PNG files:
From what I can tell they are PNG8 (screenshot from 8-bit emulator).

I changed a few things (including transparency to RGB), but nothing fixed it.

Any other suggestions welcome.

Make that a transparent PNG image in Photoshop or GIMP and you've solved your problem.

ps...

Those PNG files do not have a pure white background. If they appear to have a pure white background to you, then your computer has some color management issues.

Thanks. Converting to transparent does solve the problem.

Also, amazing spot on the colors! The background is 252/252/252 not 255. To be honest I cannot see the difference! I do have a matte screen though, which makes all whites look "dirty".

Cheers.
