Not sure if this has been covered - not been here for a bit - so forgive me if this is old ground.

PMPro v3.0(12) - user has various hunt groups message waiting notificiation (ie. HMain, HNight etc.). When a message is left in 'main' (for example) the number of messages against 'main' stays at 0 - but a new envelope next to no name appears at the bottom of the screen. Clicking it just gives you your own voicemail as it sends the shortcode "?" to the voicemail server!

Am I going mad?

I am not having any problems with the GA build of VM pro (VM Pro V3.0.13a) & hunt group mailboxes
are you sure you have no errors in you cfg (spaces after name, ilegal characters etc.)

PMPro - not VMPro :)

As in Phone Manager Pro - but thanks for taking the time to reply anyway ;)

Opps, must get my eye test booked.

Havent seen a problem with Phone Manager Pro either, but I will double check when I get home

OK thanks.

Just to expand a bit on my configuration.

I have 3 hunt groups all with voicemail on (Main, Night and Support). I am a member of all 3 groups. I have Source Numbers HMain, HNight and HSupport as well as V15 (my extn number).

I am running Phone Manager in Pro mode.

When I look at the messages tab in phone manager I can (quite rightly) see the three groups there (as well as my own mailbox).

Problem starts when I leave a msg in the Main hunt groups mailbox. Instead of seeing 'Main 1' I still see 'Main 0' but a new line appears underneath the others with an envelope, no name (ie. blank), and a '1'.

Clicking this sends a '?' to the voicemail server (instead of ?Main) which then makes the voicemail server give me my mailbox (with no msgs in it).

I have to 'guess' which mailbox has the msg and click all three before I get to the one I want.

Still, it keeps my alert I suppose :)

I tested with 3 hunt groups & PM Pro tonight & all worked as expected.

try deleting the group & recreating (with a reboot just for good measure.)

Try using H500 in the source numbers where 500 is the group extension number

How's this for wierd?

I have changed nothing at all (not even on my PC) since I first posted this. Came in to the office this morning and it's all working as it should.

I think it's time for an office seance (yes - I am scared).

Anyway - thanks all for trying what you did - if it rears it's ugly head again I'll let you all know.

Raffles, I have had the same problem.

I was advised by the elders to either:

1. Match the Full Name and name entries in the user form
2. Delete the the entry in the full name field.

Different names seems to create two mail boxes for the same user.

Nice avaya, nice

Phew - so I am not going mental (well - maybe a little).

I've just had an e-mail from a lovely person at our suppliers and he managed to recreate it as well.

Here's is his response (direct quote):

"I've recreated the problem here easily enough.
It seems that once you've had a message in the mailbox and restarted the Phone Manager it stops it happening but it's not great is it?"

Indeed it isn't. I nearly phoned Most Haunted to come and film our offices ;).

I can only assume that this work-around is the reason mine is now OK - but I have now found another problem.

Nothing related to the first one - but...

We have changed to our system from a Siemens so I made it so our IPO has to dial a '9' (just for ease of transition).

All is fine - except if you try and dial from the 'keypad/directory' it strips the leading '9' off the number. The '9' IS in the directory entry - it is also in the PM speedial (eg. 901457820055 - our office). You double click the speedial - it dials out and all is fine. But (here it comes), when you check the Out tab - it has stripped the leading '9' off the number - so you can't click to to re-dial (you have to use the speedial again) and you can't use the system directory to dial-out either (unless you put 2 9's in!).

Incoming calls are fine as I have the '9' prefixes setup in the line configuration jobby.

To quote Mr Testbench (above) "Nice avaya, nice".

Just noticed - the 'out' tab strips it - no matter how you dial out (even if you just use the phone itself).

did you set all 3 prefixes in the line tab?

You only need the international & national prefix set to 9
leave the last one (prefix) blank.

actually -I have set all 3. I'll remove the 'other' one - but won't that mean local calls won't have a 9 added (ie. speedial of 9820055 won't have the 9 stripped?).

I'll try it and report back.

Bad news - it still strips the 9 off in the 'out' tab. Although this did cure the directory problem :)

...and back to pmpro. Has anyone tried changing the date format yet? I can change the date to the ones hard-coded in the system (I would have like the day in there as well) - but not the time (the TB #36 says you can - it lied).

I was assuming that you are in the UK. in which case cli is always sent as a national number complete with STD code (leading 0 ommited).
Not quite sure why it is getting stripped in the out tab though
looks like I will have to play some more.

You assume correctly sir :). I am not talking about incoming as all is fine on that score. I am talking about outgoing only.

So - it is a bug in pmpro me thinks.

Update - removing '9' from 'prefix' in the line config now makes every call that comes in say 'outside' rather than give the cli. So, I've had to put that '9' back in - but now the directory is dead again. Oh, deep joy :)
