Hi,

im in the process of filing pmp application form and claiming project experience seems very confusing. by designation I worked as project leader, development manager and currently working as project manager.

As I worked in a consulting firm where the projects are from 2 months to a year and with a team of 2 to 4 / 6 myself handling all the pm related tasks..

PMI says dont claim simultaneous projects during the same period.. but a project manager tasks will not be through out the project cycle, it is 20%-25% of total project hours.. so it does not mean that the remainging 80-75% we are sitting idle, either we will be technically involved or preparing estimates / proposals / presentations for other projects..

please give some insights how to meet the PMI stipulations.. anyone who faced similar problem and managed to submit.. please help

Thanks
kumar...

I think you're probably the only one who can best assess your situation. Think about it this way, will you be able to pass an audit if you do get audited (check this article on PMP audit: ).

Probably an objective and honest look at your experience will give you the answer. If you feel you're able to pass and audit successfully and with a clear conscience, then go for it, other than that, just wait a few months, and apply for the exam...
