PM for beginners... 2

I know very little about project management, only what I know from practical experience (which isn't that much to be honest).

Technical project management is an area I am very keen to get into, but my employer isn't currently prepared to invest in the necessary training. Can anyone point me in the direction of some good (and, I must stress) FREE information on the web, or elsewhere?
