Pagemaker has begun to crash each time I attempt to export a booked file to a PDF file. I have reinstalled both PM65 and Acrobat but no improvement. It appears a fiel problem perhaps. Any ideas.

Thanx

Here are some thing you can check to see what is causing the crash when exporting your book.
1. If on a Mac increase memory to PM.
2. Are you using the adobe driver to export the file?
3. Is the file on the harddrive?
4. Print a ps file then make the pdf using distiller, this method will not give you hyperlinks but will tell you if the problem is with the program or the doc.
5. Run the save for service provider plugin (window/plugin/ save for service provider) Click the preflight button. See if your links and font check out ok.
Good luck!

If by chance you're creating a PDF by using the ''print'' feature (choosing Adobe Acrobat as your ''printer''), this could be causing the crash. I myself used to do this, until I discovered that you're supposed to make PDF's through Acrobat Distiller.
