Plz, I want Light Only, no ring? 2

Great Forum Guys,

Let me explain the senario:
An employee just left the office, so he has left a farewell message. However, when a call comes in for him, it rings his phone and his secretary's sidecar before it goes to his voicemail.
We would like the calls directed to him to flash only in his office and on the secretary's side car, without the ringtone, then go to voicemail. Kinda like a private line.

Any response would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Heck! That is an easy. Go to the phone in CCM Administrator. Go to the line you want to change the ring setting on. Scroll down to these

Ring Setting (Phone Idle)
Ring Setting (Phone Active)**

and change them to Flash Only. Reset the phones and you are in business.

One suggestion I would make, that I have implemented for my users, is to create a 'Silent' ringtone that contains no audio data. This allows the user to selectively turn on and off ringing on individual lines without the need to change the setting at an administrative level.

That is great idea!! I would have never thought about that. Did you have to actually record silence or could I just create a file called silent.raw and add that to my ringlist?
