I have several plus signs and cant figure out what I did to cause multiple problems. I can click on the plus sign and paste the excess material 20-30X before I can delete everything. Is there a way to click the plus sign once and delete ALL the excess text or graphics?

In other words, I have to click the plus sign and paste and then delete what Ive pasted 20-30x before it all goes away

The "Plus Sign" is called the "Overflow sign".

This will avoid any confusion later on with the Plus sign on the Paragraph and charactor style sheets.

Now. to fix your problem...
Place your curser after the last character you can visably see, then hold down your:

command+shift+end This will select all the type from your curser to the end of the document.

hit your delete key and the overflow symbol will go.

[the end key is next to your home, page up, page down, del keys].

I tried your suggestion but it has no effect.

I am using a PC so I used control+shift+end

Do I click on the overflow sig, release mouse, and then hold down keys? I tried that plus a few other ways. What am I doing wrong?

Click in the type you can see on the page
