Could anyone tell me how to find what type of plugins are installed on a system?

In SP2 (Internet Explorer) there is a thing called Manage Add ons under Tools, but I cant find anything on a system without SP2. I have installed Authorware and can't seem to find anyway of seeing if it is there or the version of it, or even how to uninstall it?

Hijack This! will show these add-ins as BHO Browser Helper Objects. You can use the tool to selectively remove them as well. Freeware:
