Plug-in x-oleobject? 2

I am trying to listen to my satellite radio and when I click play to listen to the music, it says missing component x-oleobject. I don't know where i can find this component. I downloaded flip4mac and also tried to download windows media player for mac but I am having a problem opening up the Macbinary file for that too. Downloading the Flip4mac software didn't help either. Can anyone help me find a solution to this problem??

Ok - what version of OS x are you running?
What browser are you using, Safari - FireFox? If safari I would try Firefox.

Have you run all of the updates available for your version of X?

What happens after a restart? I remember reading somewhere about having to reboot after downloading and installing flip4mac/WMP.

I am running version 10.5.2 and I tried both browsers and having the same problem. I checked all the software updates and I shut down my system and it still isn't working. Ughh!
I don't get it.

Have you used the plugin available from here:

Your not getting any permission related eror messages are you? For giggles you might want to run a permission fix from applications>utilities>disc utility> repair permissions.

ok the thing is that plug-in for windows media player is only for windows. is there another link for macintosh?

Given the name of the plugin, I suspect the site is only geared for Windows users, and won't work for Macs.


x-oleobject:
'x' usually means it's an executable (like a plugin would be)
'oleobject' strongly suggests that it's a Windows OLE object.
