Can anyone recommend or know of software that converts
quark 6 files into Indesign CS 2 files?

I use the Quark to InDesign plugin from Markzware (mentioned above). It actually does a better job of converting Quark files than the built-in conversion. It converts Quark files versions 3-6. I hardly get any "oddities" when converting, now!
