My old Dell Optiplex with win xp was running fine until I moved it across the room. Now, on bootup, the p&p error comes up, and my video display 4 colors, 640x480. Device mgr list my graphics card with a yellow confilict sign, as well as my nic card. Uninstalled both, id both when booting up, the hardware wiz came up and ask me for the cd's. I did not have one. What do I need to do? Appreciate any advice as you folks have been great in the past.
Regards,
Millard

Maybe the move was too much of a shock for your old Dell. Something (the video card) may have become dislodged from inside and is no longer making a secure connection.

Try System Restore to get back before you uninstalled things, or use the Driver Roll Back option, and check inside (and outside) for secure connections where any cards fit in.

Linney,
thanks, you were absoutely right! Did a restore, then reseated the cards back into the slots, and bingo!
Thanks again, I knew you folks would come to my rescue!
Cheers,
Millard
