Hi there

I installed SCO Open server 6 in a HP DL380 G4 server with RAID 5 , it was working fine today morning one of it hardisk failed from that time it is showing the error while booting and the GUI or anything is not comming up. Error is "casm:corrected memory error threshold exeeded" please anybody can help me what could be the problem and how i can rectify this.

thanks

This is a total long-shot, but it sounds like you've got a dead system, so not much to lose.
The "casm" driver is part of Compaq's Advanced System Management package. My guess is that is has detected the failed drive, but isn't able to complain nicely. I found this in a thread for SCO 5.0.7, but it might be a valid option for 6.0 as well. Try this at the boot prompt to temporarily disable "casm":

boot: "defbootstr disable=casm"

I also found reference to disabling ASR in BIOS to resolve "casm" problems.

Neither of these ideas are from personal experience. Please keep that in mind if you choose to forge ahead.

Since this is an apparent HP/Compaq driver, I'd recommend you contact them for assistance.
