Hi there I just started a job a couple of months ago as a cable puller. I started to show interest in the technical aspect of the industry. Now my boss wants me to learn Nortell systems as he is NOW sending me out as a TECHNICIAN! Im really at a loss right now as Im doing a tech's job and getting paid as a c/puller. this is not fair anyway back to the point. I only know the feature codes right now as I have never realy done anything on my Own other than button inq and simple stuff like that. How ever I was wondering is it possible to learn through reading the booklets that come with the phones?
If not could you be so kind as to point me in the right direction I am a confident fast learner. Any books that you know the names of or websites would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a bunch.

Sorry as you can tell Im extreemly new norstar meridian and eventualy BCM.
I feel like Im in quicksand the more I learn the more I realise I know nothing lol

Don't worry we were all there at some point in time. I am still very new to this and there are still applications I have yet to use. The Norstar and BCM are great systems to learn. If you learn the menus in the BCM and Norstar, you can kinda thumb thru most of the programming. Experience will show you what to program and not to program.

Think on the bright side, at least these guys are giving you a chance to learn and maybe become a lead tech one day.

skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body
thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming ~ WOO HOO what a ride!~
