I have data in a sheet which contains values for the Y axis, and time for the X axis. The data plots as a line graph and so everything is fine except the time.

I have the time in a column in 24 hour format using the hh:mm cell formatting. I want the time to plot starting from 16:00 / 16:30 / 17:00 etc, but when I click finish it counts down rather than up 17:00 / 16:30 etc. I have selected from top to bottom and bottom to top but I don’t know what I am doing wrong.

If anyone can solve this problem for me I will be very grateful !!

Regards,

Choose and X-Y scatter instead of a line graph. You can choose a sub-type where the points are joined by a line.

Cheers, Glenn.

Did you hear about the literalist show-jumper? He broke his nose jumping against the clock.

Hi,

"I have the time in a column in 24 hour format ..."

Irellevant! Time values are just NUMBERS. Format is what is DISPLAYED on your sheet.

So you want the greatest time to the LEFT and the smallest time to the RIGHT?

As Glenn suggested, first make the chart a scatter. Then select the x-axis Scale Tab, and check values in REVERSE order.

Or you might not come [red]FORTH[/red] on the [red]FIFTH[/red]
