Plotter issue after upgrade to Windows2K

I recently upgraded my OS from Windows 98 to Windows 2000. I am on a LAN that is running under Novell Groupwise 6. Systems with Autocad and Windows 98 recognize the plotters by one name, and my system with Win 2K identifies them by another name. This poses a problem; when I open old drawings or drawings that were ploted with the WIN98 systems, I have to change the plotter name, and likewise if someone else opens my drawings they have to change the plotter name. Is there a way to get all systems to recognize the plotter without everyone using the same OS?

When you save your drawing with the plotted layout (when Plotting, the "Save changes to layout" checkbox). The info is stored with the last layout used. What we have done is to use AutoCAD drivers rather than system printer drivers (in Plotter Manager, when creating the plotter). This way allows you to name your printer however you want (I am assuming you are using AutoCAD 2000 or higher). I hope this helps.

Thanks a lot! That seems to have taken care of that issue, but now I have a different one. When I save a page setup at Arch E1 30" X 42" and someone else opens the drawing, it opens as Arch E3 27" X 39". It works the opposite way also - their E1 seems to be my E3 and vice-versa. Any clues as to why that happens?
